Ricardo N. Calvo, Ph.D. - I have 35 years of experience in environmental and social consulting in the Americas and beyond. After working for consulting firms all my career, I am now devoted to providing personalized and focused consulting to companies and financial institutions. I can help your projects reduce E&S risks through phase, construction, operation, and closure.

My experience includes projects large and small, from Canada to Argentina and throughout the Caribbean. I have worked across many sectors, including energy (geothermal, wind, solar, battery storage, thermal, and green hydrogen), oil & gas (midstream, LNG terminals, LNG-to-power), agribusiness, manufacturing, food and beverage, forestry, and transportation (ports, roadways, metros), among others. I have worked in cities, rural areas, and remote areas, as well as in high risk areas. My broad experience is now available to your project and organization.

 

I have deep expertise in developing and implementing Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS) per IFC PS1 for companies, projects, and financial institutions, as well as ample experience and expertise imparting customized training on E&S management topics.
